Deck-Max™ is a proprietary system, which means Deck-Max™ must be installed as per manufacturer's specifications. Secondly, it means that an extensive amount of independent testing and very specific quality control processes have been implemented to ensure that Deck-Max™ products always perform to the highest level under the conditions for which they were designed. Finally, it means that Deck-Max™ products meet and exceed the expectations of its customers and all building standards and specifications.Warranty - Each Deck-Max™ biscuit is covered by a 7 Year warranty that gives builders and contractors the confidence that only comes with a warranty that parallels their own, guaranteeing that the product can adhere to their building obligations. The wording below is a condensed version of the full warranty. Out of Sight warrants to the Customer that the Goods shall be of merchantable quality, free from defects and fit for their purpose (including utility, performance and appearance) for a period of seven years.
ReplacementOut of Sight agrees that it shall promptly, after notice from the Customer requiring it to do so, at its own cost replace any Defective Goods which are found by the Customer and notified to Out of Sight during the period of seven years from the date of supply of the Goods.
Limit of WarrantyTo avoid doubt, it is the obligation of the Customer, at its expense, to supply the labour for the removal of the defective goods and installation of the replacement goods. The extent of Out of Sight's liability for Defective Goods is limited to that of Clause 17(b) of the full version of the document. Any further liability, to the extent permitted at law, is expressly excluded including any consequential loss. The warranty herein is avoided if: The Goods are not installed according to Out of Sight's Deck-Max™ specifications, installation instructions and guidelines as notified on Out of Sight's Deck-Max™ website; or The Goods are not installed by a suitably qualified installer.
Warranty ClaimIf the Customer wishes to make a claim under the Warranty, the Customer must: make the claim to the retailer from whom the Customer purchased the Goods ("the Retailer"); provide to the Retailer, among other things, photographic evidence in support of the claim together with any other material reasonably requested by Out of Sight or the Retailer.
